“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.”
― Henry Ford
Have you ever noticed that people are really only motivated by two things in life? Fear – and Desire. They are either running from one, or racing towards the other. Those who are motivated by movement towards the things that matter most to them tend to succeed in the best possible way.
This brand of success goes by many names but most people simply see it as ‘living your passion’. It’s a saying heard so often that many people often dismiss it without really stopping to think about what it actually means.
So, what is your passion? Do you know? If you do, would you say you are ‘living your passion’ in the same way as, say, Henry Ford did? Or Sir Richard Branson? If not, why do you think this is? Could it be because you’re too busy running away from something to make progress towards the dreams and goals that truly matter to you? If this sounds familiar to you, you’re not alone.
What do you think is stopping you? For most people, it’s Fear that holds them back – and you can get past this. You can learn how to move forward despite the scared feeling in the pit of your belly – and once you learn how to do this your life expands in the most amazing ways.
Obstacles become opportunities and roadblocks are just challenges to be met – your entire perspective can change in an instant and it starts with you making the choice to change. Right now – and do something different.
Do you think Fear plays too large a part in your decision making? Share your thoughts about Fear in the Comments box below.
Cherry, recognising the fear is the first and most important step I have made to consciously change direction and make the choice to move towards.
Love reading your blog.
My own profound experience of fear, is and can be paralysis.
I’ve linked thoughts, physicality and fear on a conscious level for many years. I’ve neither had the skills nor process to
deal with this so I can continue life more fluidly.
I’m looking forward to working with you Cherry.
I’m the fellow in the top right hand of the picture on the opening page of the Gumeracha Medieval Fair, so I have a reputation to keep up. I’ve come to realize that it’s all down to what, and how I think in my life that determines my reality. As above, [my subconscious] , so below [ my experiences and environment].
